Gleaming Graphite – Moonbathed Graphite

Another one of my Gleaming Graphite series. Looking at the way I created the “skin” for the figures inside Poser’s Material Room, it has that oily gray quality with reflections that come out so muted. So I set myself a challenge to try and light the scene in such a way to make it look like the title suggests – moon bathing – the image is after the fold, how do you think it came out?

Gleaming Graphite – Naked Steel Rain

Given my affinity for transhumanistic themes, it’s perhaps unsurprising that I enjoy going diving into the depths of Poser’s Material Room to play with textures and settings. I really liked the way the Graphite series is coming out – best of all, even minor changes inside the Material Room can have a majot effect to the look and feel of the finished render. It’s kind of amusing as well in some ways, though.  I’ve had this image flagged as being “Adult – Displays Nudity” in the past, even though there’s no display of any genitalia at all. Since the concept … Continue reading

Wasteland Wench – Ruins

The Wasteland Wench in her natural element, waiting patiently for someone to play with after the fold. I have to admit, I do enjoy the Wasteland Wench.  She and my Red Witch tend to lead to all kinds of interesting imagery, and have an elegance about both of them. Like the characters in my novels, they’ve both pretty much come to have their own personalities in my mind’s eye that nudges the result of artwork I do around them.

I'm too sexy

My sense of humor tends to get the better of me, but equally often something I’m working on will just scream out a connection that is both perverse and hilarious at the same time (such as Lounge Lizard). This is one of those times, while working on troll imagery for Ken St Andre.  So grab yourself a cup of coffee, take a deep swig and check out after the fold.

Lounge Lizard

I’ve always found H.R. Giger’s artwork to be absolutely beautiful and sensuous, even though some of it can be rather disquieting at the same time. Like many others, I was first exposed to his work through the movie Alien, and that particular form has stuck in my head ever since. So over time, I’ve built a reputation for artwork that’s best described as “Nekkid tattooed redheaded vampiric gynoid chicks with heavy weaponry in compromising positions with Giger aliens” Hey, it’s a niche Given my sense of humor … well, take a look

Pinup Girls (NSFW)

OK, so I admit it, i have a strange yet subtly perverse sense of humor – A twist on Hellraiser’s Pinhead after the fold. Tagged as Not Safe For Work due to nudity – even though you can’t actually see anything, really!

Dark Unicorn Guardian

Two of the challenges I love about doing figure 3D art are trying to force the figures to show emotions, and to create an image or animation that’s ambiguous – you can interpret the image in more than one way. Take a look at Dark Unicorn Guardian below the fold and see what you think is going on.

He ain't your parent's clown!

Many many years ago I had the pleasure of meeting James A Moore, his wife Bonnie, and his sister Ro, at Dragon*Con. Jim is one of those authors that reaches down into the pit of your guts and makes them whimper quietly in a corner, and in gratitude for him holding my hand as it were over the years at conventions (a scary ordeal that goes way beyond anything even Jim could write), I came up with this image of one of Jim’s most feared and loved nasties – Rufo the clown. Image after the fold, click for the full … Continue reading

Promise – Awakening To Eternity (NSFW)

Another of the vampire Promise series renders to go alongside the novels.  Again, the text was created for the image itself.  Image and story after the fold, this time from our plucky protagonist’s perspective. Warning: Image Of Nekkid Vampire Not Safe For Work!!

Grey Death

Another one from the vampire Promise series.  I was wondering what the last thing you’d see as you died would be, and figured it’d probably be one very happy contented sated vampire.  image after the fold, click to view the full sized image

A Promise Sealed With A Kiss

One of the covers for the vampire Promise novels, I wrote the accompanying text when I did the render to go with the image in its deviantArt publication.  Full image and snippet after the fold, as always click the image to see the full version.

Enforced Chaste Kiss

OK, I’ll admit it, I don’t like Twilight.  It’s that whole Vamp-angst concept.  Beverly Hills 90210 meets Vlad the Impaler and goes vegan is just … pulp? Vampires are supposed to be dark, evil, ruthless, sensual, sexual, and generally confuse the hell out out of you if they’re going to kiss you or kill you.  There’s a few authors manage to keep you reminded that their vamps aren’t entirely domesticated, but one of my faves is Laurell K Hamilton and her “Anita Blake” novels. So it only stood to reason while I was working on the artwork for my Promise … Continue reading

Wasteland Wench

One of my first attempts at using Vue and Poser together.  The figure and car were created and posed within Poser, then imported into Vue where the desert terrain was added.  Final render done in Vue.
