Portrait render done for a friend in Second Life.
Second Life isn’t bad as far as 3D massive-multiplayer environments go, but they have to find a balance point between detail and speed – obviously, they can’t render out at the level of quality I do and still be able to have players move.
So, I enjoy making my “interpretations” of people I know or meet inside the game world. Some are photo-realistic, some are stylized, but they’re all fun to create.
Touched up version of the portrait, with more postwork effects added, after the fold.

Looks like Rayn is in Pain.
