Some more mythological creatures, this time Dragons – a mother and child.
It gave me another opportunity to add “human” like qualities to a non-human critter – in this case, to mimic a human baby sucking its thumb, with a (very) protective mother hovering over it.
This is another combination render, with the figures being taken into Poser at first to set up and pose, then brought across into Vue for the landscape and final renders.
Image after the fold.

What versions of the Poser and Vue software and what OS do you use? I love your art.
Poser Pro and Vue 7.5, both running under Vista.
I'm glad you're enjoying my stuff!
Thanks for the info. I dabbled with Poser 3 and Bryce 3D some years ago. I imagine that it's easier to get the poses the way you want them in Poser Pro than it was in Poser 3, but I'm also betting it still takes a bit of finesse to get them just right. I'm impressed.

Thanks.
Compared to Poser 3, poser 7 and Poser Pro are like comparing a jet to a space-shuttle, relative to advances. It's definitely a lot easier to work with the meshes in 7/Pro, and the Gen-2 figures are a lot more flexible (no pun intended).
It's still kind of a pain if you're doing your own rigging and boning, but one "perk" of Pro is plugins back to Maya (and others). So you can usually find workarounds and switch between multiples if you try.
I have to admit though, I still prefer the Render engine in Vue over the one in Poser (even with poser now having good HDRI lighting), as you can tell by how many images I take across and render in Vue.
If you're interested in getting back into the biz as it were, I believe you can get a PLE version of Vue (it just watermarks everything), and trial versions of Poser.
