Well, as you can see, this is a subdomain of my personal site.
The goal is to move all of my graphical art-related stuff here – whether I make it for fun, offer it for free, or offer it for sale.
In part, this was driven by confusion over recent changes and proposals to the policies at deviantArt. At this stage, I’m unsure just how much control over my intellectual property (the artwork) is surrendered to deviantArt when it’s submitted. So this makes it easier for me to ensure that I retain control over things, and who can use it for what.
It also gives me better opportunities with regards to posting animations, so it’s probably a step I would have taken sooner or later anyways. And to be honest, I’m pretty much sick and tired of the 3D clique attitude prevalent with some members of deviantArt, who seem to spend more time bitching about the tools used to make the artwork, than the artwork itself.
I’ll still be posting to deviantArt, but the large scale images are going to be pointing right back here.
Of course, I’ll also still submit artwork to Renderosity and other places as I find them.
In the meantime, I’m in the middle of changing pointers to my free stuff from Renderosity from my personal site to this one, and I’m also going to expand this site to include commission requests and other goodies as I go along. I hope you’ll enjoy what’s coming!
